I can no longer find Alexa Skills in the Alexa app

Your Alexa Skills have not been removed. They moved: in the Alexa app tap More, then Alexa+ Store, scroll down, and tap Browse Alexa Skills & Games. The screenshot below shows all four taps.

Sound familiar?

What to try now

  1. The Alexa Skills catalogue is still in the app, four taps in. The screenshot below is annotated with each one, and the steps are:
    1. Open the Amazon Alexa app and go to More.
    2. Tap Alexa+ Store.
    3. Scroll down past the Top Picks and the Alexa+ Essentials cards.
    4. Tap Browse Alexa Skills & Games, described there as the full catalogue of Alexa skills and games.
    5. That opens Discover Alexa. Use Search Alexa Skills at the top to look one up by name, or scroll for categories and Top Skills.

Menu names and their positions vary a little between Alexa app versions.

  2. Once you are on an Alexa Skill's own detail page, that is also where you re-enable it if it has been disabled, and where its settings and account linking options sit. If there is a Launch button, you can start it on a chosen Alexa+ device straight from the app.
  3. If getting to your Alexa Skills is harder than it should be, this sends that to Amazon directly. Discoverability is decided by Amazon, not by the Alexa Skills themselves. For example: “Alexa, feedback”
Four Amazon Alexa app screens showing the route to Alexa Skills: the More menu with Alexa+ Store marked as tap one, the Alexa+ Store with a scroll marked as step two, the Browse Alexa Skills and Games card marked as tap three, and the Discover Alexa screen with its search bar marked as step four.
The full path in the Alexa app: More, then Alexa+ Store, then scroll, then Browse Alexa Skills & Games.

Why is this happening?

Alexa Skills used to have their own prominent entry in the Alexa app. In Alexa+ the catalogue sits inside the Alexa+ Store, below the promoted add-ons and the Alexa+ Essentials cards, which is where the extra taps come from.

What sits above Alexa Skills now is worth noticing. The Alexa+ Store opens on Add on to Alexa+ and a Top Picks row. Add-ons are the newer Alexa+ integrations, and the tools to build one are currently limited to partners Amazon selects, so most of the Alexa Skills people already use cannot appear there. The catalogue of those Alexa Skills is the section you reach by scrolling past it.

Alexa developers have documented the same ordering across other Alexa+ surfaces, where Alexa Skills appear lower than they did and lower than comparable first-party entries. The detail and the evidence are in When the Platform Joins the Competition on SkillDevs.io.

None of this is decided by the Alexa Skills themselves. Where they appear, and how many taps away they are, is set by Amazon in the app and on the device.

When will it be fixed?

No change to where Alexa Skills appear in the app has been announced as of September 8, 2026. The community issue tracker and the Updates section here will note any change.
